Tom Daley’s celebrity diving contest Splash! returns in spite of it being unremittingly terrible next month, returning with a plop on January 4.
Seeing celebrities learn how to dive from increasing heights, Splash! was derided by critics during its first season, but given Daley’s celebrity stock – fuelled by his recent press attention after coming out as homosexual – had to do little to earn a recommission.
Its air date has now been confirmed by the ITV press office as Saturday January 4 at 7.20pm.
