Splash! champion Eddie ‘The Eagle’ Edwards is already talking about a second series of the diving show – and he’s eyeing Kelly Brook to be one of the celebrity divers.
Keen to see the curvaceous beauty take to the diving board in a skimpy bikini, the former ski jumper also said he’d like to watch David Hasselhoff and Ulrika Johnson strip down to their swimming costumes.
Although some critics of the show are saying Splash! is bound to be axed because of its ‘poor format’, with 6.2million viewers tuning into the final, it looks like there may well be a second series on the cards.
And Eddie reckons he’s sussed the perfect way – to get Kelly and her sizeable assets diving from the boards.
‘If I were in charge I’d book Kelly Brook. I want to see her in a bikini diving off the 10-metre board,’ Eddie told the Daily Star. ‘I’d also love to see The Hoff, Ulrika Jonsson and some ex rugby and footie stars.’
‘We had such a diverse mix of stars that our viewers could relate to somebody diving on the show,’ he added.
Meanwhile, Splash! frontman Tom Daley is eyeing his own mix of celebs to spice up the show.
Eddie, who has now been nicknamed ‘Seagull, beat TV star Linda Barker and Benidorm actor Jake Canuso to win this series final.
Speaking after his win, he said: ‘It’s been fantastic. The audience has been wonderful. Thank you for getting behind me.’
